CPC London are passionate about 35mm film and are very proud to partner with The British Film Institute at the 63rd BFI London Film Festival as sponsors in-kind, in partnership with American Express.

CPC’s unique direct-to-print from data technology ensures the highest quality 35mm positive prints in either colour or black and white, eliminating all stages involving expensive negative intermediates.

The team have supplied 9 pieces of ‘Lightbox Artwork’ which were installed at selected LFF venues; BFI Southbank, Embankment Garden Cinema, Prince Charles Cinema, Empire Haymarket, Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, Curzon Soho, Odeon Tottenham Court Road, and Cine Lumiere. CPC also created a unique piece of ‘Lightbox Artwork’ which was given as an auction prize at the BFI LUMINOUS Fundraising Gala.

CPC supplied 35mm prints of the four award winner’s films and during the awards night at the Vue Leicester Square, James Nash from CPC proudly presented two of the award winners with their commemorative 35mm print. These were awarded to Alejandro Landes, winner of the Best Film Competition for ‘Monos’, and Rubika Shah winner of the Grierson Award in the Documentary Competition for ‘White Riot’. The other two award winners who couldn’t be there were Mati Diop, winner of the Sutherland Award in the First Feature for ‘Atlantics’, and Soheil Amirsharifi who was the winner of the Short Film competition for the film ‘Fault Line’.

Content security approved by Walt Disney Studios, Paramount Pictures and Sony, CPC create prints for Festivals, Independent Filmmakers as well as Major Studios. The prints have been projected at cinemas and festivals worldwide recently including Eternal Beauty and Fanny Lye Discover’d at BFI London Film Festival 2019. Others have included Thunder Road at The Prince Charles Leicester Square, BAIT at the BFI, Luce at Sundance Film Festival 2019 and Vox Lux at the 75th Venice Film Festival.

CPC who are based in Kent have recently supplied the Alamo Drafhouse chain with Once Upon a Time in Hollywood ‘Lightbox’ artwork and 20,000 commemorative ‘Film Strips’ for distribution throughout their 19 locations over the box office weekend. The Filmstrips can be used as giveaways, lanyards, and tickets they give a unique twist to an event, party or screening.

CPC have supplied some of the top film Directors such as Ethan Hawke, Jim Cummings, Richard Linklater, Brady Corbet, Quentin Tarantino, Michael Bay, John Krasinski and Darren Aronofsky with 35mm prints, some of CPC’s biggest clients are Walt Disney Studios, Paramount Pictures, Sony pictures, and Kodak.

Jim Cummings, Writer, Director and Producer of indie hit Thunder Road was asked about the expense of filming on 35mm film and he said that because he used CPC he was able to make what he thought was impossible possible.
